What’s On The Bench
It All Begins Here
There’s been a lot going on around here lately! New products, new builds, and plenty of things in various stages of being figured out.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this month.
new in the shop
Drill Guide
We’ve been working on this one for a while, and it’s finally ready!
SBR Drill Guides make rack-mounting your favorite devices simple and precise, giving you a perfectly aligned template for marking and drilling mounting holes, hardware included. Available for Vox Power NEVO power supplies, iConnectivity devices including the mioXM, PlayAUDIO12, Audio4c and other standard half-rack models, plus Universal Audio Apollo Twin and Apollo Solo/Arrow, with more guides on the way.
Really happy with how these turned out. They’re available now in the shop.
behind the build
This was a fun one!
Abbie Callahan and her team came to us looking for some help as they prep for an upcoming tour, so we built the whole system from the ground up for them!
Along with building out and programming their live show, we put together a streamlined playback & vocal processing rig designed to keep everything clean, reliable, and easy to run on the road. The goal was to make the technical side of the show as seamless as possible so the team can focus on the performance.
We also spent some time with her team at rehearsals to refine the session and show flow, and give support for how to run the rig setup before they hit the road!
Clean, easy to use, and built to do its job night after night.
A few components to keep things user-friendly and rock-solid:
multi-pin connector for all audio cabling
2nd custom-foamed pelican for the playback laptops
Ableset for setlist management
Oaktone Oakboard mini MIDI controller
There are many different ways to build a setup like this, but we’re pretty happy with the components we chose and how everything came together with this build!
